A tough battle is up for the Los Angeles Kings (14-8-9) and head coach Jim Hiller on the road in Texas in the Lone Star State on Monday evening (Dec. 15) against the Dallas Stars (21-7-5) and head coach Glen Gulutzan. The Kings begin a three-game road trip in the East early this week against the Stars in Dallas.

Hiller and the Kings have been much better this regular season on the road than they have when playing at home at Crypto.com Arena this fall. The Kings have an opportunity to pick up more valuable points in the standings in the West tonight against the Stars in Dallas.

In three of the past four games, the Kings have picked up at least one point in the standings, including two straight overtime losses in the West this past week.

The Kings reportedly will be without centers Philip Danault and Quinton Byfield due to the flu (per Zach Dooley of LA Kings Insider).
