The Los Angeles Kings and Anaheim Ducks will leave Southern California this weekend on Sunday afternoon (Sep. 21) to face off in the Empire Classic at Toyota Arena in Ontario, CA. This is the first of seven preseason games on the schedule for the Kings and head coach Jim Hiller this fall in late September and early October next month.

LA will face the Ducks today in the first of four matchups in the preseason between the teams for the Kings and Anaheim.

Once again, the Kings will head up north of the border in Canada to play a game at the home of LA's AHL affiliate, the Ontario Reign, at Toyota Arena.

The projected roster for the Kings this afternoon in the Empire Classic vs. Anaheim includes center Quinton Byfield, defenseman Brandt Clarke, and veteran goalie Pheonix Copley. Forward Joel Armia is set to make his preseason debut for the Kings.

Kings' top prospects Liam Greentree and defenseman Henry Brzustewicz are expected to be active and in the lineup for Hiller and LA against the Ducks this afternoon.
