For the past couple of weeks, since the five-game Western Conference road trip in late October last month, the Los Angeles Kings have been without forward Warren Foegele in the lineup due to an upper-body injury.
Warren Foegele is reportedly back with the team in group stakes for the Los Angeles Kings in the red non-contact jersey
He suffered an upper-body injury a couple of weeks ago, on Oct. 26 in the Kings' 3-1 win on the road against the Chicago Blackhawks in the Windy City at the United Center.
Kings' head coach Jim Hiller confirmed earlier this week that Foegele is getting closer to returning to the ice for LA and traveling with the team in next week's road trip.
Foegele has missed the past four games for the Kings, including the 3-0 shutout convincing win over the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday night (Nov. 4). But it sounds like Foegele has made it back out on the ice in the group skates for the Kings this fall, earlier this week.
Zach Dooley of LA Kings Insider reported this week that Foegele was back with the team during the optional group skate early this week with the red non-contact jersey.
This comes after the Kings placed Foegele on injured reserve this past week on Nov. 1, retroactive to Oct. 26.
Foegele reportedly will "probably travel with the team on their upcoming five-game road swing next week", once the Kings' four-game homestand wraps up late this week at Crypto Arena.
Before he suffered the upper-body injury early this regular season a couple of weeks ago, Foegele played 10 games for the Kings this fall. He scored one goal and one total point in the Kings' 4-2 loss at home to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Oct. 16.
Foegele has played 92 games in the past couple of years for the Kings in the regular season. He scored 22 goals and 46 total points for the Kings this past regular season in 2024-25.
Jeff Malott has been active in the lineup for the Kings' roster lineup in the past few games with Foegele out. He scored one goal in the Kings' 4-3 win over the San Jose Sharks on the road this past week.
