Armia, meanwhile, was dealing with an upper-body injury for the Kings after the win vs. Minnesota early this week on Monday night.

Hiller provided updates on the status of Armia and Kopitar after the game on Monday night vs. Minnesota for the Kings in the postgame press conference.

"Kopi lower body, Army upper body, and we'll probably find out more tomorrow. Don't have a lot to report tonight."

It was later confirmed on Tuesday (Jan. 6) by the LA Kings PR that Kopitar and Armia are listed with a status of "day-to-day" with the injuries vs. Minnesota on Monday night. The Kings reportedly didn't have a team practice on Tuesday, leading to some questions regarding the injury status of Armia and Kopitar this week.

All things considered, this isn't the worst news for the Kings to only have Armia and Kopitar out short term due to the injuries they suffered vs. Minnesota early this week on Monday. Hiller and the Kings should be able to get two key veteran forward players back in the active roster lineup in the short term this regular season in the West.

Kopitar suffered a lower-body injury in the game's first period in the opening frame vs. Minnesota. He did not return to the game vs. Minnesota after suffering the lower-body injury in the first period.

Armia suffered an upper-body injury vs. Minnesota in the middle frame in the second period. He did not return to the game after suffering the injury in the second period vs. Minnesota.

Kopitar missed a few games early this regular season this past fall for the Kings in the West due to a lower-body injury.
