A couple of key Los Angeles Kings players in the active roster lineup, defenseman Mikey Anderson, and center Alex Turcotte, are dealing with injuries for head coach Jim Hiller and staff early this week in practice on Tuesday (Feb. 3).

Los Angeles Kings' Alex Turcotte and Mikey Anderson reportedly listed with a status of "day-to-day" due to various upper-body injuries early this week

The Kings recalled defenseman Joe Hicketts from the AHL affiliate Ontario Reign, and he practiced with the team on Tuesday at the Toyota Sports Performance Center. In a corresponding move, the Kings reassigned forward Kenny Connors to the Reign in the AHL on Tuesday.

Zach Dooley of LA Kings Insider reported on Tuesday morning (Feb. 3) that both Anderson and Turcotte missed practice today for Hiller and the Kings' team. Both players are reportedly listed with a status of "day-to-day" early this week on Tuesday due to various injury issues for the Kings and Hiller.

Anderson and Turcotte are reportedly both dealing with upper-body injuries early this week for the Kings and Hiller.

Today could've been the last team practice for the Kings on the ice in El Segundo, CA, until the Winter Olympic break starting this upcoming week.

Hiller said after the Kings' gutsy overtime loss, by a score of 3-2, on the road on the East Coast this past weekend vs. the Carolina Hurricanes and head coach Rod Brind'Amour that the team would have an injury update for Anderson early this week on Monday.

"No, I don't. I mean, obviously he didn't return, so you know, we'll get back to LA, see where things go with him, but probably won't have an update for him till Monday."

It's also noteworthy that defenseman Brian Dumoulin didn't practice for the Kings today on the ice since he had a "maintenance day". We will continue to monitor Dumoulin's status regarding his availability for tomorrow's game in the front end of back-to-back games in the Pacific Division in the West vs. Seattle on Feb. 4 in practice.

Dumoulin, Turcotte, and Anderson were reportedly the three Kings players who weren't active and participating in practice for the team on Tuesday early this week.

Anderson suffered the upper-body injury in the Kings' overtime loss this past Sunday afternoon in the back end of back-to-back games in Carolina on the road.
