This weekend on Saturday morning was the first time in the postseason in the playoffs that interim head coach DJ Smith and the Los Angeles Kings have hit the ice for practice and team drills this spring. Smith and the Kings had a positive update for injured Kings' players in practice in team drills this weekend on Saturday morning.

Andrei Kuzmenko back on the ice in practice on Saturday morning for the Los Angeles Kings for this upcoming postseason in the playoffs this weekend

Smith said today this morning that multiple forwards for the Kings, including winger Andrei Kuzmenko, center Alex Turcotte, and winger Jeff Malott returned to practice for team drills for the postseason in the playoffs this weekend on Saturday. He specifically said that "everyone's available" for the Kings, except for Kevin Fiala this weekend.

Zach Dooley of LA Kings Insider reported on Saturday morning (April 18) that all three of Kuzmenko, Turcotte, and Malott in the core forward lines group up front for Smith and the coaching staff for LA are expected to travel with the team for Game 1 in the postseason this upcoming weekend in the West to Colorado on Sunday tomorrow.

There is the chance that the Kings potentially get Kuzmenko back in the active roster lineup to contribute and make an impact on the team in the West in the Pacific Division this upcoming postseason in the playoffs this spring for the forward lines core group up front for Smith and the coaching staff. I don't know if you can assume Kuzmenko returning to the active roster lineup for Smith, and the Kings, and the coaching staff is a concrete thing to happen this postseason.

It's noteworthy that it sounds like Kuzmenko, Turcotte, and Malott for the Kings are expected to be available in the active roster lineup in the upcoming days this weekend and early this upcoming week in the West vs. the Avalanche in the series this spring.

Kuzmenko could help the Kings extend this postseason in the playoffs in the West if he's able to return to the active roster lineup offensively in the zone for Smith and the coaching staff this spring this month in mid-to-late April.
