The Kings and Hiller return two dozen players from last year's roster for this past campaign in the Pacific Division, including captain Anze Kopitar and starting goalie Darcy Kuemper.
Key young players competing for roster spots on the opening-night roster for Hiller and the Kings this fall in the upcoming regular season, like center Samuel Helenius and forward Akil Thomas, are among the over 25 players highlighting the 59-player camp roster.
Included on the Kings' training camp roster are the five veterans new general manager Ken Holland and LA signed in free agency earlier this offseason in the summer. Forwards Joel Armia and Corey Perry, defensemen Cody Ceci and Brian Dumoulin, and backup goalie Anton Forsberg will debut in camp for the Kings in practice on Thursday.
Liam Greentree, Kenny Connors, and Henry Brzustewicz are three Kings players who turned heads in the Golden State Rookie Faceoff and rookie camp in Irvine, CA, this past week.
The training camp roster for the Kings includes over 30 forwards, 20 defensemen, and a half-dozen goalies for this fall.
Hiller and LA have four days of practice before the preseason opener this upcoming weekend on Sunday (Sep. 21) against the Ducks in the Empire Classic in Ontario, Canada.
The Kings open the preseason in the Empire Classic in Ontario against the Ducks on Sep. 21 at 5 p.m. CT. LA opens up the regular season on Oct. 7 against the Colorado Avalanche.
