For the first time this regular season this fall, the Los Angeles Kings (1-3-2) face the St. Louis Blues (3-2-0) to open up a crucial five-game road trip on Tuesday night early this week. The Kings have only gone 1-1-1 against one Western Conference team in the past two seasons (since the 2023-24 season).
The Blues and Kings have each registered at least one regulation or overtime/shootout win in the regular season series in the past six meetings between these two teams in the West.
Jim Hiller and the Kings have a full team traveling with them on the road trip this week, starting tonight vs. the Blues. Anze Kopitar and starting goalie Darcy Kuemper are both traveling with the team this week after they missed two games for the Kings this past week against the Carolina Hurricanes and Pittsburgh Penguins at home.
