The Los Angeles Kings (1-2-1) and head coach Jim Hiller return home to Crypto.com Arena for the first time in a couple of weeks since early October early this regular season to face the Pittsburgh Penguins (2-2-0) on Thursday night (Oct. 16).
This is the first of two matchups between the Kings and Penguins in the home-and-home series cross-conference early this regular season in the next three and a half weeks.
The Kings have lost two in a row and four of the last six, including the last matchup at home against the Penguins at Crypto Arena (since the 2022-23 season). Earlier this week, the Penguins kicked off a three-game Western Conference road trip in the Golden State in Southern California against the Anaheim Ducks in a 4-3 loss on Oct. 14.
