The long awaited start to the upcoming 2025-26 regular season is almost officially here for head coach Jim Hiller and the Los Angeles Kings at home at Crypto.com Arena tonight on the first day of the regular season in the NHL.
Hiller and the Kings have familiar faces on the projected forward lines and the defensive core in the top six group coming back for the upcoming 2025-26 regular season. Four out of the top six defensemen and all of the top nine forward core for Hiller and the Kings are on the projected active lineup for the regular season opener tonight against the Colorado Avalanche at Crypto.
Anze Kopitar, Adrian Kempe and the Kings battle a talented Avalanche squad led by superstars Nathan MacKinnon and Cale Makar tonight in the front end of back-to-back games to open up the regular season this fall.
