For the final time this preseason, the Los Angeles Kings (4-2-0) and head coach Jim Hiller will battle the Pacific Division foe Anaheim Ducks (4-2-1) at Crypto.com Arena in the preseason finale on Saturday afternoon. It is also the fourth and final matchup between the Kings and Ducks in the preseason, and the first since Anaheim defeated LA this past week on Sep. 27.
This is the only game Hiller and the Kings have played at home at the friendly confines of Crypto.com Arena this fall in the preseason.
"I think we’re ready for it. We’ve got a new dressing room, I guess. So that’s going to be new. So it’s good to get one game in those new surroundings. I’m sure the guys are going to be wowed by how nice it is. So we’ll get that out of the way."Jim Hiller
The Kings have a few notable scratches and injuries for this matchup against the Ducks this afternoon. Defensemen Kyle Burroughs and Joel Edmundson aren't in the projected blue-line group for Hiller and the Kings in the preseason finale today vs. the Ducks.
Red-hot scoring forward Jeff Malott is active in the lineup today for the Kings with the fourth-line forward group alongside Alex Turcotte at center and Joel Armia.
The other scratch for the Kings that's notable is forward Samuel Helenius.
