In just a few days from now, this upcoming week, multiple players from the Los Angeles Kings' roster will be representing the franchise and their home countries for the first time in over a decade in the Winter Olympics from the league in the NHL. The first game played for the five Kings' players in the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy this upcoming week will be on Feb. 11, early in the morning at 7:40 a.m. local time.
Five Kings players will be representing their countries in the 2026 Winter Olympics in men's hockey in Milan in the next few weeks upcoming in mid-to-late February this month. Those five Kings' players are winger Joel Armia (Finland), defenseman Drew Doughty (Canada), goalie Darcy Kuemper (Canada), winger Adrian Kempe (Sweden), and winger Kevin Fiala (Switzerland).
Doughty is the only Kings' player in the active roster lineup for LA and head coach Jim Hiller who has represented his country before in the Winter Olympics in men's ice hockey.
