The end of the regular season is quickly approaching and there is a tight race at the top of the Pacific Division between the Vegas Golden Knights, LA Kings, and Edmonton Oilers. For most of the season, it has been these three teams with the Vancouver Canucks hovering around in fourth place.

However, the Canucks have not been able to keep pace and are currently seven points behind the Oilers. While it isn't out of the question entirely, if the Canucks were to catch up it would require them to go on an impressive run while a team like the Oilers has a significant collapse.

A more likely scenario is that the three teams compete among themselves for position in the Pacific Division, which will have major implications for the first round of the playoffs. The team that wins the division will play a Wild Card team, while the second and third-place teams in the Pacific Division will face off with the team finishing higher getting home ice for the seven-game series.

With all three teams having less than 12 games left in the regular season, let's look at each team's path left in the regular season and make predictions on how the final standings will look.
