Drew Doughty

On the atmosphere and the competition feeling like the playoffs in Boston this week

"Obviously not a high scoring game, tight-checking. Both teams were competing really hard. Would have liked to come out with two points but I think we can take a lot of good things from that game."

On the goal he scored in the third period on Tuesday vs. Boston on the road

"Just a good play by Moorsie. I know Morsie is really good from playing with him over the years. I know he's good at pulling up and giving me that shot. He's got a couple assists on my goals from that. So, just get to the blue line and let one rip."

On the Kings feeling the desperation of needing points in the standings in the back end of back-to-back games

"Almost everyone is playing physical, doing the right things, not cheating, blocking shots, and doing whatever it takes for us to get into the playoffs."

On how the Kings played shorthanded and at even strength at 4-on-4 vs. Boston

"We need our kill not to just keep us in games, but to win us games. I thought it did its job and put us in a position to do that tonight."

On the positive takeaways from the overtime loss to Boston on Tuesday

"We showed resilience and we showed heart. Tonight, we played hard. Almost every single guy played hard and we got a point against a really good team. Yeah, we can take some positives, but clearly we’ve got to look at some of the negatives and fix those things."

Trevor Moore

On if the game felt like a playoff-like atmosphere on Tuesday vs. Boston on the road for the Kings

"Feels like for a while now, when we come here, we've just had good battles with them. Similar teams. It's a good battle tonight."

On how the special teams on the penalty kill has looked for the Kings this past week vs. Boston

"Huge. I think we felt pretty confident. Just haven't really gotten the results. But Darce was huge for us, and I thought we had a good goal."

On the goal he assisted to Doughty late in the final frame in the third period vs. Boston

"Just trying to get it behind him and got a step on the guy and Dewey, I love when he comes late like that and opens up. It's awesome."

On the impact Scott Laughton had on the team this past week and on the road for the Kings' team

"A lot of energy. Chatting out there, getting in on faceoffs. He just does everything right."

On the atmosphere on the ice and on the benches for the Kings and Bruins this week early

"I think every time you come in Boston, it feels like this. Certainly the team that they have, that plays as hard as they do and bangs bodies and they can push you out of a game and and they didn't do that. I thought it was a really even game all the way around."
