David Rittich
David Rittich has been the backup goalie for the Los Angeles Kings for the past two seasons. After his first year with the team, the Kings brought him back on a one-year deal but he didn't have the same success as the prior season.
Rittich finished the year with a record of 16-14-2 with a save percentage of .886 and a goals against average of 2.84. He certainly had a strong start to the season and the Kings needed it when Darcy Kuemper was on injured reserve twice in the first few months.
Unfortunately, the end of the season was where he really struggled, and with younger goalies like Erik Portillo ready to make the move up to the NHL, the Kings likely move on from Rittich this offseason.
Prediction: David Rittich leaves in free agency
Trevor Lewis
Trevor Lewis had a major career milestone this season as he played in his 1,000th NHL game, and over 800 of those games were with the Los Angeles Kings. They would draft him in the first round of the 2006 NHL Draft and made his NHL debut during the 2008-09 season.
He would be a part of both Stanley Cup teams in 2012 and 2014, but at this point in his career, it is tough to find a role for him. He finished the season with only six goals and six assists in 60 games with an average ice time of 10:13. The Kings need to find a way to get some of their younger players ice time and it doesn't make sense to have a veteran like Lewis in the way of that.
