Los Angeles Kings veteran forward Corey Perry has missed the last three consecutive games for the team and head coach Jim Hiller. Perry is expected to make his return to the active roster lineup for Hiller and the Kings on Tuesday night (Jan. 20) against the New York Rangers from the Metro Division in the Eastern Conference.
Veteran forward Corey Perry expected to return to the active roster lines for the Los Angeles Kings and Jim Hiller early this week vs. New York
Hiller and the Kings have lost all three games in overtime in the West in the Pacific Division since Perry's absence for the team in this past week.
The last game Perry played for the Kings this month in early-to-mid January was against the Dallas Stars on home ice on Jan. 12, in a 3-1 loss at Crypto Arena for the team.
Zach Dooley of LA Kings Insider reported on Monday morning (Jan. 19) that Perry returned to the ice for practice today for the team and Hiller. Perry was reportedly practicing with the top power play unit offensively on special teams on the 5-on-4 man advantage for the Kings today in team drills.
Perry joined the special teams group on the power play on the top unit in practice today for the Kings alongside winger Kevin Fiala, winger Adrian Kempe, winger Andrei Kuzmenko, and defenseman Brandt Clarke.
Perry also taking rushes today with Adrian Kempe and Alex Laferriere.

If Anze Kopitar isn't ready for tomorrow's game against the Rangers, would expect he might stick up there. https://t.co/wbcrUbyD6N
It was also reported by Dooley on Monday morning early this week that Perry was practicing on the active forward line group today in team drills with forwards Alex Laferriere and Kempe. That will likely be the forward line group that Perry will play with tomorrow against the Rangers against the East for the Kings on home ice at Crypto.com Arena.
The Kings could really use Perry to return to the active roster lineup early this week against the Rangers tomorrow night. Perry could help the Kings' goal scoring woes offensively in the West this regular season. The Kings scored one goal offensively in the past two games in back-to-back contests in a home-and-home series in the Pacific Division vs. the Anaheim Ducks this past weekend.
