Minnesota Wild / St. Louis Blues
If the LA Kings were to win the Pacific Division then they would play one of two Wild Card teams and right now those seem pretty well set with the Minnesota Wild and St. Louis Blues. The Winnipeg Jets are leading the entire Western Conference with 108 points and four points ahead of the Dallas Stars.
The team to win the Central Division will almost certainly have the most points in the conference and will get the Wild Card team with the lowest points. Meanwhile the winner of the Pacific Division will play the Wild Card team with the most points.
The Wild and Blues are only four points apart right now so it isn't clear who will finish ahead of who but the Blues seem the likelier of the two. The Blues have been on an incredible hot streak as they have won 12 straight games and there may not be any team in the NHL who wants to play them in the first round of the playoffs.
For the Kings, they played St. Louis three times in four games at the start of March and went 1-1-1 in that stretch. The Kings have had a little more success against Minnesota as they are 2-1 this season.
