The 4 Nations Face-Off started last night with an exciting 4-3 overtime win by Team Canada against Team Sweden. It certainly didn't seem like it was going to end up that way as Canada jumped out to a two-goal lead early in the first period.
However, Sweden kept fighting back and after it was 2-1, Canada responded with a goal to push it to 3-1 going into the third period. Los Angeles Kings' forward Adrian Kempe changed the dynamic of the third period as he would score a goal just under two minutes into the final period of regulation.

It was a shot that the Los Angeles Kings fans are very familiar seeing as Kempe carried the puck into the offensive zone and ripped a shot right in the slot. Sweden would add another goal later in the period that would force it to overtime. However, Mitch Marner would give Canada the win with his goal in overtime.
Adrian Kempe a big part of Team Sweden's performance against Team Canada
Adrian Kempe has had a great season for the Los Angeles Kings as he leads the team in goals and has carried that performance over into this tournament. In the first game of the tournament, he would have just under 17 minutes of ice time and led Sweden in shots with five and hits with four.
For Kempe and the rest of Team Sweden, they will have two more games in the round robin portion of the tournament. They will play against Team United States and Team Finland and after the round robin portion, the top two teams will go on to the Championship Game.
If Kempe continues to play like this, along with the rest of Team Sweden, they have a good chance to reach that game and potentially have a rematch with Team Canada.
