The Los Angeles Kings and head coach Jim Hiller will be shorthanded on the active forward lines roster on Black Friday (Nov. 28) against the Anaheim Ducks on the road at the Honda Center this afternoon.

Forward Warren Foegele suffered an injury that caused him to leave practice early on Thanksgiving Day this week for Hiller and the Kings.
In Foegele's absence, forward Alex Turcotte will reportedly return to the active forward lines roster for the Kings this afternoon on the road vs. the Ducks in Anaheim on Black Friday. Turcotte will join the Kings' fourth-line forward group, playing at the center position where he is comfortable slotting with wingers Jeff Malott and veteran Corey Perry.
Zach Dooley of LA Kings Insider reported on Nov. 28 that the Kings will be without Foegele due to an injury he suffered in practice earlier this week. Foegele is reportedly listed with the status of "day-to-day" due to an upper-body injury that he suffered in practice on Thanksgiving (Nov. 27) for the Kings and Hiller.

This news comes after Foegele missed a few games for the Kings early this regular season this fall due to an injury he suffered in late October on the road on Oct. 26 against the Chicago Blackhawks.
Foegele scored the the eventual game-tying goal for the Kings this past Monday night (Nov. 24) at home against the Ottawa Senators in an eventual 2-1 win in regulation for LA. He's scored four goals and four total points for the Kings in 18 games this regular season in the 2025-26 campaign.
