The Los Angeles Kings would be happy at the chance to sign some of these players next summer.

Martin Necas

One player that seems the most likely to reach free agency is Martin Necas, as reports have begun to surface that he isn't happy in Colorado. Necas was part of the trade that sent Mikko Rantanen to the Carolina Hurricanes and has only played 30 games with the Avalanche.

He was certainly productive in those 30 games as he averaged almost a point per game with 11 goals and 17 assists. However, it is worth wondering if the Avalanche want to commit a big eight-year contract after only 30 games with a team.

Right now, Quinton Byfield is the center of the future and the Kings still have Anze Kopitar. However, Kopitar is entering the final year of his contract and it remains to be seen if he will be playing past this season. If he doesn't, bringing in Necas as that second center behind Byfield would be a great upgrade for the offense.
