Dmitry Orlov

The next three players are not going to be long-term options but rather veterans who might be able to contribute for a season or two as the Kings search for a long-term solution. Dmitry Orlov would be one of those players and is set to be a free agent after spending the past two seasons with the Carolina Hurricanes.

He has played 13 seasons in the NHL with 867 career games and brings a similar offensive skill set to what Gavrikov has. In the past four seasons, he has had at least 25 points each year, but brings a little more physicality with over 100 hits in nine of the past 10 seasons.

Adding a player like Orlov would potentially open the door for a player like Jacob Moverare to see more ice time. It would be great to have Orlov's veteran presence, and with the Kings at times going with seven defensemen, these two players could split the work vacated by Gavrikov.
