Andre Lee plays in first career NHL game
One of the positives from the preseason was the play of Andre Lee, who's play earned him a spot on the Kings roster. He was originally waived prior to the Kings setting the Opening Night roster but that was only temporary as the Kings had to move Drew Doughty to the LTIR.
Lee was seventh round pick by the Los Angeles Kings in the 2019 NHL Draft and played his way onto the roster with the physicality he brought. He should continue to bring more of the same for the Kings early in the season.
Kings need to get more pucks on net
The Los Angeles Kings were out-shot 23-9 through the first two periods and while the offense was struggling to get into a flow early, another big reason for this was the Kings making one too many passes.
It wasn't until midway through the second that the Kings started to get some decent scoring chances but instead of taking a shot on net, the Kings would seemingly make that one extra pass that would take away any chance of getting shot.
In these types of games, where the offense isn't exactly clicking it is important to create some chaos in front of the net, and in those situations the puck has a better chance of finding the back of the net.
