Tanner Jeannot

Tanner Jeannot would end up not playing any games in this series against the Edmonton Oilers due to an injury that he suffered at the end of March. In his first season with the Los Angeles Kings, he would end up playing in 67 games and had seven goals and six assists and the injury came at the worst time because he was starting to get hot with back-to-back games with one goal and one assist.

The Kings added Jeannot around the NHL Draft last offseason and sent a fourth-round pick in that draft and a second-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft to the Tampa Bay Lightning. The fact that the Kings did trade a second-round pick this year could factor into the decision of whether or not they re-sign him and they might lean towards doing so.

It certainly wouldn't be a bad deal to bring him back because Jeannot did a lot of what was expected in that he brought physicality and size to the forward group. The question will come down to whether or not they can agree on a new contract and my guess is that he would be able to get more in free agency. That is why it seems likely that he has played his final game with the Los Angeles Kings.
