The Los Angeles Kings played their final game of the 2024-25 season on Thursday night after losing to the Edmonton Oilers in Game 6. They are going to have to make changes this offseason and that means there are a number of players who might have played their final game for the Kings.
When looking at the roster, the Kings were clearly one of the more talented teams in the Western Conference. They showed that in the first two games against the Oilers but Edmonton would take over and win the next four games to advance.
After losing to the Oilers now for the fourth straight season, it might be time for some drastic moves to hopefully change this franchise's fortunes. That could mean the Kings have to say goodbye to some long-time players and these are five players that could have played their final game for Los Angeles.
Los Angeles Kings may look to move on from these five players this offseason
Trevor Lewis
Trevor Lewis was recognized for playing in his 1,000 career NHL game this season and a majority of those games were with the Los Angeles Kings. However, his production has continued to decline year over year and this season in 60 games he had only 12 points and averaged only 10:13 of ice time.
It wouldn't be surprising to see Trevor Lewis elect to retire this offseason but with him set to be a free agent, the Los Angeles Kings should look to replace him with a younger player from the Ontario Reign to contribute on the fourth line.
