Drew Doughty

Most of the regular season, the Los Angeles Kings were able to win due to having a very strong defense even without Drew Doughty the first half of the season. However, Doughty returned at the end of January and the hope was that the Kings would only get better with one of their top defenseman back.

Unfortunately, Doughty appears to still be dealing with the ankle injury from the preseason and he hasn't necessarily been at the level fans expect. However, that hasn't really stopped Jim Hiller from having him on the ice a lot and currently leads the Kings in average ice time at just over 27 minutes.

It is unlikely going into this game that Hiller is going to drastically change his rotation on defense and Drew Doughty once again will probably be over 25 minutes while leading all defensemen. If that is the case, the Kings need him to produce and have a vintage performance from earlier in his career.
