The NHL Trade Deadline for this season is still about two months away and the Los Angeles Kings find themselves in an interesting position. Through the first part of the season, the Kings have emerged as one of the top teams in the Western Conference and have remained in contention for the Pacific Division the whole way with the Vegas Golden Knights and Edmonton Oilers, two teams they already have wins over this season.
It will be interesting to see how general manager Rob Blake wants to approach the deadline and if he wants to make a big splash that puts this team over the top and really into the discussion for a Stanley Cup. However, Blake could view the potential return of defenseman Drew Doughty, which should be in the next few weeks, as that big move and the focus is to address a few key needs, like adding a right-handed winger.
For the Kings, they have players that could really help them achieve either objective and when looking at the roster, these are five players that could be on the trade block.
