Phillip Danault
One of the biggest changes on the forward lines for the Los Angeles Kings was Phillip Danault moving from the second line down to the fourth. He would be paired with Alex Turcotte and Trevor Lewis for this game.
A move like that can cause a player to shell up but to Danault's credit he probably looked the best he has this season. He would score his first goal since November 2nd and had three shots with a +/- of 2. The combination of Danault and Alex Turcotte worked really well and it will be interesting if that trend can continue.
Mikey Anderson
Similar to Anze Kopitar, the Kings needed players to set the tone in this game and defenseman Mikey Anderson did just that. He would play over 24 minutes in this game and had three hits and two blocks, a significant bump from the past three games where he had four hits and two blocks combined.
The Kings collectively did a great job not giving the Jets many opportunities offensively as they had only 14 shots on goal all game after averaging nearly 30 per game. Mikey Anderson was a big reason for that and the Kings success in their own zone.
