Brandt Clarke
Similar to Alex Laferriere, Brandt Clarke hit a bit of a lull in November but finished the month really well. He would have nine blocks, along with three points (1 goal, 2 assists) and is now tied for 16th in the NHL in points among defensemen.
There was going to be a void with the absence of Drew Doughty to begin the season and Brandt Clarke has done a pretty good filling that lost production, at least in the offensive zone. In the last game against the Senators, Clarke returned to the top power play unit and he should remain there until Doughty returns.
David Rittich
Since Darcy Kuemper was placed on injured reserve, David Rittich has started every game, except for one, and has done a really good in net for the Los Angeles Kings. He did struggle against the Sharks when he allowed seven goals but that seems to be the exception.
He has had seven starts to close out November and in the five starts outside of the Sharks game, he allowed six goals total and no more than two in any game with a save percentage of .935. The hope is that Kuemper will return soon but in the interim, Rittich has shown he can get the job done in net for the Los Angeles Kings.
