Quinton Byfield
For most of this season, Quinton Byfield has struggled and has been frustrating for fans to see. He is a player with such high potential but nothing seemed to click for the former first round pick, whether it was at center or back at win on the line with Anze Kopitar and Adrian Kempe.
That all seemed to change over the final two weeks of December as he would have three goals and two assist through the last five games. This is significant considering he had only five goal and nine assists through the first 31 games.
Through the first part of the season, the Kings have leaned on players like Anze Kopitar and Adrian Kempe but Byfield can really be a difference maker for this team through the remainder of the season and hopefully into the playoffs. He has the talent to be one of the top goal-scorers for this offense and his production should take some of the pressure off players like Kopitar and Kempe.
