Landon Amrhein, W (Calgary, WHL)

Calgary Hitmen winger Landon Amrhein might be the most skilled forward who went undrafted in the 2026 draft this weekend. He is a fluid skater and an adept playmaker who dominates the puck and is very productive scoring the puck in the offensive zone.

The combination of size and offensive skill that Amrhein brings gives the value of a middle-round selection in the draft. Whatever team ultimately gives Amrhein a chance to impress in at least development of training camp this summer and fall could get a real hidden gem offensively.

It wasn't the production from Amrhein that really caught scouts' attention in this draft class. His well-rounded and polished skill set and enormous frame at 6-foot-5 is what makes Amrhein such a potent prospect profile in this draft class.

Callum Croskery, D (Soo, OHL)

Smooth skating and fluidity are the name of the game for Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds defenseman Callum Croskery. The 6-foot-1 and 175-pound blue-liner is a really speedy and agile skater who is reliable from the point and on both sides of the ice.

Croskery was overshadowed at times this past season on the blue line on defense in Soo by first-round pick and defenseman Chase Reid. That doesn't mean that Croskery isn't an intriguing prospect on the blue line in his own right, though.

He understands the ice well and knows how to use his stick and gap control to close passing lanes and stop plays in transition in the neutral zone and entering the offensive zone.

Nonetheless, Croskery's skating ability and speed provide a solid foundation that could make him potentially appealing as a development camp prospect to invite for a team that wants to take a flier out on a defenseman to add depth on the blue line.
