Xavier Wendt, G (Tri-City, WHL)
In the middle and later rounds of the draft, goalies started to fly off the boards, with over 30 goaltenders being selected this weekend. The Kings picked the towering 6-foot-7 Russian goalie Yegor Rybkin in the third round of the draft yesterday.
Wendt is a technically sound goalie who has above-average athleticism and good lateral movement in the crease. He's displayed good rebound control and recovery.
If the Kings want to take a look at getting another goalie prospect to add more organizational depth and upside at the position, a good option to scout further could be Tri-City Americans WHL goalie Xavier Wendt.
Dayne Beuker, C (Lethbridge, WHL)
The Daily Faceoff considers Beuker the top remaining undrafted center prospect in this draft class going into the start of development camp this upcoming week. Beuker was widely viewed as a potential middle-round pick in this draft class.
He's an adept playmaker, with good speed and a high motor and compete level on both sides of the ice. But maybe the best part of Beuker's game is the way that he commands the play and makes smart decisions with the puck in the neutral and offensive zones.
