Another big-time player that could be available over the next few weeks is forward Jason Robertson with the Dallas Stars. He has 168 goals in 374 regular-season games and has had 35 or more in three of the past four seasons.
It was a little surprising to hear that Robertson was potentially available, and the Stars have walked back those reports and described them as 'completely overblown'. The Stars are currently trying to figure out ways to create cap space, and if they realize that trading Robertson is the only option, then the Los Angeles Kings need to have an aggressive offer.
That is exactly what this trade offer would be, as the Kings would not only trade Spence but also include their first-round picks in this year's draft and next year's as well. They would get a young defenseman to help their roster this season, but also replenish some of their draft capital that they lost in the trade for Mikko Rantanen.
