New York Islanders

The New York Islanders have only one pick in each of the rounds of the 2025 NHL Draft but they are valuable picks as they are the first pick of each round. They would defy the odds in the NHL Lottery and lock in the first overall pick.

The Islanders are a team that seemed to start the rebuild during last season with a number of moves at the trade deadline, including sending Brock Nelson to the Colorado Avalanche.

They have a new general manager in Mathieu Darche, and he can begin putting his mark on the roster over the next few weeks and should commit to a full rebuild for the franchise. One of the ways is by potentially trading Noah Dobson, who is set to be a restricted free agent, and according to reports, is being brought up in trade discussions.

For the Kings, adding a player of Dobson's caliber is a no-brainer, and he would be a big addition to their defense. In the past four seasons, he has had at least 100 blocked shots in each season and contributes on the offensive end with over 200 points during that stretch.
