Philadelphia Flyers

The Philadelphia Flyers find themselves in a great position to quickly improve their prospect pool with seven picks in the first two rounds of this year's NHL Draft. However, it might be tough to continue to look to the future as they have now missed the playoffs for five straight seasons.

The challenge for them is that the roster just isn't good enough to compete for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. They should continue to add as many draft picks as they can by trading some of their veterans to set them up for multiple playoff runs.

For the Kings, Rasmus Ristolainen could be an interesting addition to their defense, especially if they were to trade Jordan Spence this summer. Ristolainen is more of a physical defender than Spence, but it would be a risk on the Kings' part as Ristolainen has struggled to stay on the ice and has only 94 games over the past two seasons.

The Flyers may want to wait until the trade deadline to trade a player like Ristolainen in hopes that his value improves if he shows he can stay healthy and still make an impact on the ice.
