Los Angeles Kings once again fall behind early

The Los Angeles Kings all season have not been a high-scoring team but they have been able to win because in most instances they were scoring first. This season in games where they score first, they are 17-5-4.

However, as of late they have been falling behind early in games and have struggled to get the lead back. In fact, in six of the last seven games they have not scored first, and in those six games, they are 1-4-1.

If the Kings want to lean on being a very good defensive team that is going to grind out wins, they have to get the lead to play their style of hockey. It is not nearly as effective when they are playing from behind.
