For the third time this season, the Los Angeles Kings were shutout as they lost to the Florida Panthers 3-0 in the first game of the season for Drew Doughty. The return of the star defenseman was supposed to turn around their fortunes as they had gone 2-6 over the past eight games but that wasn't the case on Wednesday night.

The Kings are leaving this game with more questions than answers and don't have much time to find the solutions as they will be on the ice tomorrow night against the Tampa Bay Lightning. These are some of the top takeaways from the game tonight against the Florida Panthers.

Alex Laferriere has second goal waved off in three games

The Los Angeles Kings as a team have struggled to score goals but Alex Laferriere hasn't had issues with that. However, his issue is they have not counted as he scored once again but had the goal waved off for goalie interference after Trevor Lewis was tripped into the goalie.

The other goal was against the Columbus Blue Jackets after they challenged the play and it was determined the Kings started off in the zone offsides. It certainly would be great if these goals counted but Laferriere's play as of late has certainly shown promise.
