Andrei Kuzmenko
The Los Angeles Kings didn't make any impact moves at the trade deadline but made a sneaky move that has had a greater impact across all the lines than what Andrei Kuzmenko himself has done. In fact, in seven games with the Kings, Kuzmenko has not had a single point and only has nine shots on goal.
However, Kuzmenko has solidified the wing position opposite Anze Kopitar and Adrian Kempe. This has allowed Alex Turcotte to move down to the fourth line that has helped that line while Alex Laferriere has been able to play with Quinton Byfield and Kevin Fiala full-time.
There is no question that Kuzmenko has been a positive addition but the question for the Los Angeles Kings is can they find a player who achieves that but also can produce goals and assists.
Similar to Jeannot, it will come down to contract and it wouldn't be surprising to see the Kings bring him back on a short-term deal. However, they may look at some younger players within the organization to fill this role next season.
