Tanner Jeannot

The first two players mentioned have higher confidence that they are unlikely to return or the Kings are able to find adequate replacements for them. The next two are players that if the contract makes sense for both sides, it wouldn't be overly surprising if they are brought back.

For Tanner Jeannot, this has been his first season with the Los Angeles Kings after they traded with the Tampa Bay Lightning around the NHL Draft last year. In 64 games this season, Jeannot has five goals and four assists but that is not necessarily the strength of his game. He is a player that is able to bring physicality to this forward group and has 200 hits already this season along with 35 blocks.

The fourth line with Jeannot, Samuel Helenius and Alex Turcotte has been very productive since the trade deadline. The Kings would probably love to see this group stay together and see if they can have the same impact next season.

If the two sides can come to an agreement on a contract, there is no reason he can't be back but he might be able to find more in free agency than what Los Angeles will offer.
