Rights to Vladislav Gavrikov
The final player who could be traded is probably highly unlikely but needs to be at least mentioned at this point of the offseason. The Kings have been discussing a new contract with Vladislav Gavrikov for a few months now and with free agency less than 10 days away and no deal in place, the front office should be considering other options.
One of those options would be to trade the rights to Vladislav Gavrikov, which gives that team an advantage because they can begin negotiating a new contract before free agency starts in July 1st. It could also be beneficial for Gavrikov because he could sign an eight-year contract with that team versus a maximum seven-year deal in free agency.
There would be a lot of things that would have to fall into place for a trade like this to happen, and the first is that Gavrikov tells the Kings he will not be re-signing with them. At this point, it seems that is unlikely but if that were the case, the goal is to get a list of teams Gavrikov would consider in free agency and begin trade discussions.
