Phillip Danault

The next player is one that the Los Angeles Kings might want to trade but won't necessarily just give away as he could still make an impact on this team. However, it isn't at the level that he was a few seasons ago.

This past season was Danault's worst with the Kings as he had only eight goals and 43 points, both the lowest season totals in his four years in Los Angeles. On top of that, Danault has a sizable contract with an AAV of $5.5 million over the next two seasons. Unlike Moore, Danault also has a modified no-trade clause that would have to factor into which teams the Kings talk with or see if Danault would waive that.

In the end, the Kings might make him available but would have to be a trade that makes sense for them. As a 3C, Danault does a good job and is one of their better defensive forwards. However, trading Danault could create some significant cap space that would allow them to be even more aggressive in free agency and that would have to factor into the thought process.
