Alex Laferriere
Another player the Los Angeles Kings could consider trading is forward Alex Laferriere but it would be a little more complicated than the other players on this list. The reason is that Laferriere is set to be a restricted free agent this offseason, so the Kings would only be trading his rights.
However, the Kings can only do that if they extend a qualifying offer but that is almost a certainty at this point. He is coming off an excellent second season as a full-time starter in the NHL and nearly doubled his points from 23 in the 2023-24 season to 42 this past season.
The Kings would probably only consider a trade if they don't believe they can reach a long-term deal with Laferriere. At only 23 years old, he has a lot of hockey in front of him and while they may not want to commit to a five or six year deal, a bridge deal of 2-3 years could be an option.
If there isn't an indication that the two sides can come together on a deal, making Laferriere available in a trade could be an option.
