Trevor Moore
If I were the Los Angeles Kings, I would make sure that Trevor Moore is included as one of the players going to the Sabres for Alex Tuch. The biggest reason is for salary cap reasons as the Kings have some room but not a whole lot at this point.
According to PuckPedia, the Kings have just over $4.5 million available at the trade deadline but that is not enough to cover Tuch's cap hit of $4.75 million. However, if the Kings were to include Moore it gives them more flexibility and creates additional opportunities to make other trades outside of this one.
The veteran forward has a cap hit of $4.2 million through the remainder of his contract, which runs through the 2027-28 season. Although he is struggling some this season, the Kings could point to what Moore did last season, which was scoring 31 goals. If the Sabres believe he can return to that level, this is a player that makes a lot of sense for both sides to want in the trade.
