On Monday, it was reported by Russell Morgan with Hockey Royalty that the Los Angeles Kings were one of the teams interested in trading with the Buffalo Sabres for Alex Tuch. It is a move that would make a lot of sense for the Kings as he is a right-handed forward who has been productive and still has another year on his contract.

The addition of Tuch would be a perfect fit alongside Anze Kopitar and Adrian Kempe on that top line and help solidify that group. For the Buffalo Sabres, it is a little surprising they would make Tuch available as he feels like a player who should be included in their rebuild.

The Sabres have struggled for over a decade and they need to be competitive sooner rather than later. They are probably not looking for prospects in return if they make Tuch available but rather players who can contribute right away and be part of the turnaround that for them hopefully happens next season.

If that is the case, the Los Angeles Kings have some players currently on the NHL roster that could make sense to include in a trade package if they want to make a move to add Alex Tuch.
