4 Los Angeles Kings who could still get new contracts this offseason

Ken Holland should not be waiting to discuss new contracts with these players.

Anze Kopitar

Anze Kopitar has played his entire career with the LA Kings but is now entering the final year of his contract. The question remains whether or not Kopitar wants to play past this season but if he does, and gives Holland that answer this summer, a new deal will almost certainly get done.

However, unlike some of the other players on this list, any extension will almost certainly be only one year.

As shown during the Stanley Cup Final, older players can still make an impact and while Kopitar might not be the same player he was earlier in his career, he can be a difference maker. He has had at least 67 points in four straight seasons now and has been very durable with missing only three games in total over that stretch.

Whether or not Kopitar gets an extension is going to be up to the player and if he believes he has another season past this upcoming one, then a new deal will get done.
