The coaching search early this offseason for the Los Angeles Kings has been heating up almost a month after the team was eliminated from the postseason this spring.

General manager Ken Holland and the Kings remain heavily involved in the NHL coaching carousel as the organization searches for its next head coach. Another disappointing early postseason exit has put pressure on the Kings to make the right hire as the franchise attempts to re-establish themselves as a legitimate contender for the postseason in the Western Conference.

Several names have already surfaced in connection to the Kings and Holland early this offseason, including experienced and proven coaching candidates and younger developmental options on the carousel.

The variety of candidates linked to the Kings early in the offseason highlights how important this coaching hire could become for the franchise. Whether Los Angeles prioritizes continuity, player development, offensive evolution, or immediate contention may ultimately determine which direction the organization chooses behind the bench.

Here are four coaching candidates for the Kings that the organization has reportedly already shown interested in this offseason.
