Patrick Kane
During the Stanley Cup Finals, veterans like Brad Marchand and Corey Perry have shown they can still make an impact in the latter parts of their careers. Patrick Kane has demonstrated that to an extent and could be in line for a three or four-year deal.
Over the past four seasons, Kane has had at least 20 goals each season and 55 or more points in three of the four. However, he will be turning 37 during the upcoming season and this past year there was some concerning trends that emerged.
While he did keep his goal streak and finished with 21 on the season, he had only nine even-strength goals. This was the first time in his career that he didn't have double digit even-strength goals.
He also has seen his ice time steadily decrease season over season and finished with a career-low of 17:59 with the Red Wings. Kane has also now had five straight seasons with a negative +/- and these are all signs pointing to the former Hart Memorial Trophy winner being a risky signing this summer.
