Goaltending

In the three series, the Los Angeles Kings had four goalies start for them and only one had a save percentage above .900%, which was Jonathan Quick in the 2021-22 series. Last year, Cam Talbot started three games and David Rittich started two and combined to allow 21 goals in those five games.

This year could be different though as Darcy Kuemper has arguably been the best goalie in the entire NHL after Connor Hellebuyck. He has been 31-11-7 in his starts with a goals against average of only 2.02 and a save percentage of .921%.

What should give Kuemper and the Kings even more confidence is that the Kings' goalie has had some of his best games this season against this Oilers team. In three games, he is 3-1 and allowed only four goals total and even had one of his five shutouts on the season against Edmonton.

It will be a team effort to limit Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl but alot of the responsibility will fall on Kuemper.
