Center Anze Kopitar still had a productive season offensively and on both ends of the ice for the Kings this past regular season. He ranked among the top five forwards on the team in assists and total points while also leading the team's forwards in blocked shots faceoff wins.

Kopitar was around the net a lot this past regular season.

While Kopitar ranked sixth on the team in expected goals (15.6) this past regular season, he finished up with just a dozen markers and 38 total points for the Kings.

Injuries limited Kopitar's production, as he ended up missing 15 games this past regular season for the Kings. It was the first time in Kopitar's career that he missed over a dozen games in a regular season due to injuries.

He continued to generate plenty of scoring opportunities around the net during the final season of his NHL career. Despite missing 15 games, he ranked sixth on the Kings with 15.6 expected goals.

Yet, those opportunities didn't translate into goals at the expected rate. Kopitar finished up with only 12 goals, putting him around 3.6 goals below expected for the season.

One contributing factor to Kopitar's decrease in goal scoring and goals above expected was his shooting percentage. This past regular season, Kopitar registered an 11.9 shooting percentage, his least efficient shooting percentage metric since the 2021-22 saeson, which also happened to be the last time he scored fewer than 20 goals in a campaign for the Kings.
