The Los Angeles Kings and Ken Holland did address multiple roster needs early this offseason through free agency, but that doesn't mean that the projected roster lineup is finished. If Holland and the Kings decide to make another significant move to upgrade the roster before training camp and the preseason this fall, some rumored long-shot trade targets could help to address any remaining priority needs.

While there's a good chance that none of the three players on this list will be moved this offseason, we've still at least heard rumblings of each of these players being shopped by their current teams in this past few months.

Not only does it feel like the Kings still have room to add an impact player this offseason, but it also feels like Holland and the front office are gearing up for a bigger move before the start of training camp and the preseason this fall.

The Los Angeles Kings may not be done making moves, and these players could become intriguing trade options

Here are three possible long-shot trade targets worth watching for the Kings later this offseason.

Elias Pettersson, C

The Kings and Holland have a priority need to address in the middle of the lineup this offseason at the center position. Among the biggest names that have been linked to the Kings in recent trade speculation this summer has been Vancouver Canucks center Elias Pettersson.

We wrote about on the site today that while the Kings have inquired about Pettersson on the trade block this offseason, the cap hit and his lofty contract value might be enough to keep Los Angeles away from him when it's all said and done this upcoming season.

Since the Canucks are still in a rebuild, moving Pettersson makes sense from their perspective. For the right price tag, namely Vancouver retaining a significant portion of Pettersson's cap hit, I think this could work. But there are a lot of moving parts that would have to align to make this happen.
