Andre Lee with first career NHL goal

Neither team could get on the scoreboard in the first period and it wasn't until the second that the Los Angeles Kings would be able to take the lead. However, it was from an unlikely player as Andre Lee would score his first career NHL goal on a beautiful goal to beat Jake Allen.

Andre Lee, a seventh round pick by the Los Angeles Kings in 2019, was a bit of a surprise coming out of training camp to make the roster. He is a big forward that is known more for his physicality with 36 hits on the season, but on this play he showed off his shot by corralling a pass from Jordan Spence and flipping the puck under the bar.

According to NHL Public Relations, Lee is now the 29th player in NHL history to have his first goal on January 1st. The only other Los Angeles Kings player to accomplish this was Todd Elik in 1990.
